# Welcome to AssetIQ

AssetIQ is a cloud-based asset management platform that helps organisations manage physical assets, maintenance activities, inspections, audits and related operational information from one central system.

Whether you are an administrator, asset manager or operational user, AssetIQ provides the tools you need to maintain accurate asset information and manage day-to-day asset activities.

## What you can do with AssetIQ

AssetIQ brings key asset management activities together in one platform.

With AssetIQ, your organisation can:

- Maintain a central register of physical assets.
- Organise assets by category, location, department and other business information.
- Use QR codes to identify assets and quickly access asset information.
- Create and manage maintenance activities and work orders.
- Create inspection checklists and perform asset inspections.
- Plan and perform physical asset audits.
- Report faults and track asset-related issues.
- Manage rental and operational activities.
- Schedule activities and resources.
- Access reports and operational information.
- Control access using user roles and permissions.

The features available to you may vary depending on your organisation's configuration and your assigned user role.

## Getting started with AssetIQ

If you are new to AssetIQ, we recommend following these steps.

### 1. Sign in to AssetIQ

Start by signing in using the account provided by your organisation.

**[→ Sign in to AssetIQ](https://help.assetiq.sg/docs/sign-in-to-assetiq/)**

### 2. Understand the Dashboard

Become familiar with the AssetIQ Dashboard, navigation menu and the main areas of the application.

**[→ Understand the Dashboard](https://help.assetiq.sg/docs/understand-the-dashboard/)**

### 3. Set Up Master Data

Before creating assets, administrators should configure the master data used throughout AssetIQ, such as asset categories, locations and other organisational information.

**[→ Set Up Master Data](https://help.assetiq.sg/docs/set-up-master-data/)**

### 4. Add Your First Asset

Once the required master data is available, you can create your first asset record and enter its identification, classification, location and other relevant information.

**[→ Add Your First Asset](https://help.assetiq.sg/docs/add-your-first-asset/)**

### 5. Generate Asset QR Codes

Generate QR codes for your assets to support physical identification and quick access to asset information.

**[→ Generate Asset QR Codes](https://help.assetiq.sg/docs/generate-asset-qr-codes/)**

## For administrators

If you are responsible for setting up AssetIQ for your organisation, you may also need to complete the following tasks.

### Invite users and assign roles

Add users to AssetIQ and assign the appropriate roles and permissions for their responsibilities.

**[→ Invite Users and Assign Roles](https://help.assetiq.sg/docs/invite-users-and-assign-roles/)**

### Import existing assets

If your organisation already maintains an asset register, you can use the AssetIQ import function to add multiple assets instead of creating each asset individually.

**[→ Import Assets](https://help.assetiq.sg/docs/import-assets/)**
